Suncoast Half Marathon Race Information

7:00 a.m. start adjacent the lake and finish on the picturesque Main Street at Lakewood Ranch on Sunday morning, January 15th, 2017.  Finish line on Main Street will remain open until 10:30 a.m.

Advance Packet Pick Up  

The Advance Packet Pick Up will be Saturday, January 14th, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the
Gold Coast Eagle Conference Center  7051 Wireless Ct., Lakewood Ranch, FL 34240
                            Google Map Directions      Lattitude/Longitude:  27.376645,-82.430742
Directions: From I-75, exit 213, University Parkway, east toward Lakewood Ranch. 0.9 miles, turn RIGHT (south) on Lakewood Ranch Blvd, 0.7 miles turn LEFT on Wireless Court. 


Packet Pick Up & Late Registration   

  •  Online Registration closes January 11th 
  •  Packet Pick Up at the Expo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sarturday   
  •  Late Registration available at the Expo-cash or check only
  • Race morning packet pick up available 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. at the entrance to Main Street near Polo Grill   
  • Sorry, NO race morning registration    

Each participant must provide photo identification at the time of Participant Packet Pick-Up, verifying their identity as the registrant to whom the event bib number is assigned.

In the event you wish to have another individual pick up your Participant Packet, please:
1) Download and complete the Packet Authorization Form (this will be turned in at packet pick up)
2) Advise the person picking up the packet that they must present their ID to pick up the packet

Participants are responsible for verifying that the information presented on the label on their race packet is accurate. Any corrections should be addressed with the race staff or timers at the time of packet pick up.
Challenge Participants, be sure to check your age on race day, especially if you have aged up since the Frosty 5K!

        Pace groups are available for 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00 hours. 
Final finisher is our "balloon lady" at 3 1/2 hours. 


Directions & Parking to Main Street at Lakewood Ranch :  Easy access and less than 2 miles off I-75.  Take exit 213, University Parkway, and head east toward Lakewood Ranch, FL

  • Recommended: Suncoast Half Marathon Parking at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center:  Google Map Directions
  • From I-75, exit 213, eastbound on University Parkway for 0.7 miles turn LEFT on Town Center Pkwy, 0.3 miles turn RIGHT on Health Pkwy. Medical Center parking is 0.2 miles on right.
  • Arrival from the north on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, turn right on Health Parkway, left into Medical Center parking.

          13.1 beautiful miles through the communities of Lakewood Ranch.  Click Here for Course Map

Time Restrictions-You must be able to complete the 13.1 miles in 3 1/2 hours (approx 16 min/mile pace). We provide a 3 1/2 hour pacer, the "balloon lady", to help you stay ahead of the official course closure. The course will close and the finish line clock will be shut off behind the balloon lady.  If you fall behind the balloon lady, the SAG Wagon will be available to transport you back to Main Street.  If you choose to continue, you will be asked to move to the sidewalk and you will not receive an official finish time.

  • Volunteers and monitors from the local communities will be on the course to guide you as well as cones, signs and mile markers.
  • 7 aid stations on the course, each with a port-o-let, serving water & lemon-lime Gatorade.      
  • Lakewood Ranch Blvd, Lorraine Road and Legacy Blvd south of The Masters Avenue will all have a lane coned for race participants.  Hidden River Trail is closed to vehicles and all yours to enjoy. Runners will utilize the recreational trail along University Parkway before turning onto Lakewood Ranch Boulevard for the idyllic Main Street finish. Look and listen for the Luna Village Drummers on the course. Law Enforcement Officers, course monitors, directional signs and caution signs will be posted on the roads within the communities for your safety but please use caution as you will be sharing the roads vehicles.
